SINOSSI
Un giovane architetto in un viaggio al centro del Brasile e al centro di se stesso cerca di dare una risposta alla domanda “Che cos’è la bellezza?”.
Prima intervista l’architetto Fuksas che gli parla del suo grande punto di riferimento in architettura poi decide di andare alla fonte. Attraversa l’oceano per chiedere ad Oscar Niemeyer, l’architetto degli architetti, se può l’estetica raccontare il contenuto e se può l’architettura essere specchio della crescita spirituale, scientifica e sociale di un popolo.
In ore di intervista il grande saggio si racconta e gli occhi del giovane si aprono sull’aspetto filosofico della ricerca contemporanea che Niemeyer dall’alto dei suoi100 anni ancora porta avanti con la freschezza di un laureando.
Andare a Brasilia la città che costruì 50 anni fa nel mezzo del deserto e che divenne la nuova capitale del Brasile ed entrare nelle opere che hanno caratterizzato una rivoluzione iniziata con Le Corbusier ed ancora in atto, lo farà riflettere non solo su se stesso ma sull’essere umano e il suo futuro.
Paesaggi dechirichiani, pensieri, filosofia e arte in un viaggio nella storia di un uomo che ancora non ha finito di stupire il mondo. Tra Parigi, Rio De Janeiro, Roma Milano e Brasilia accompagneremo il protagonista nella scoperta della bellezza che va oltre l’estetica.

A young architect in search of himself in the distant land of Brazil, questions ‘what is beauty?’
At first, the youth interviews architect Fuksas who tells him about his unique architectural referring point; but then he decides to continue his journey in order to meet the source... He crosses the seas and asks Oscar Niemeyer, the architect of all architects, if architecture can mirror humanity's scientific, spiritual and social progress; that is, if esthetics could tell the story of the intimate journey of Man.
During hours in which the two discuss, the youth’s impressed eyes, wide open, light up to Niemeyer’s 100 years of wisdom; wisdom gathered through a life time of quests that Niemeyer continues to research with the curiosity and vigor of a student!
To go to Brasilia, the city that Niemeyer built 50 years ago in the middle of the desert, and to enter the constructions that characterized a revolution that the great architect began with Corbusier, will make the young architect reflects on humanity as well on his future and his own journey... Metaphysical places, philosophical reasoning and art will combine to portrait the journey of a man who is still fully engaged in transforming the shape of the world.
Going from Paris to Rio De Janeiro, and to Rome, Milan and to Brasilia, the young architect will venture into the world of beauty, beyond esthetics.
